OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
The Lead Business Analyst should have significant experience in strategic analysis, agile leadership, business case development, and be skilled in translating complex requirements into actionable solutions. Responsible for identifying business needs, analyzing data, and developing solutions by collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, design processes, and implement improvements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectivesthrough effective communication and documentation of findings and recommendations; acting as a bridge between business and technical teams to facilitate successful project delivery. Utilizes advanced analytical tools and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and drive strategic initiatives.
Starting Hiring Range: $83k - $104k / yr.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborates in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
- Leads project team design sessions to prototype new systems that improve business processes, operations, and information flow.
- Identifies and establishes the scope and parameters of systems analysis to define outcome criteria and take appropriate measures.
- Performs thorough research on software and hardware products to substantiate recommendations and aid in purchasing decisions.
- Conducts thorough analysis of business processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Develops requirements documentation and support business and test case creation.
- Works closely with IT and development teams to design and implement technology solutions.
- Facilitates meetings to drive consensus and ensure alignment on requirements.
- Provides expert guidance on industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Utilizes data analytics to identify trends, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive reporting and dashboard solutions to track key performance indicators.
- Assists with cost-benefit analysis to support investment decisions and project prioritization.
- Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data and information within business systems.
- Liaise with the internal technology team and external third-party providers to identify and troubleshoot system bugs while optimizing process efficiency opportunities.
- Ensures that all internal program information systems are clear, concise, coordinated, updated, and accurate, including unifier cost and configuration management, documentation controls, budget/spend tracking, and scheduling.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field -OR- the equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related) preferred.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Healthcare IT (e.g., CPHIMS) is highly desirable.
- Coursework or training in healthcare analytics, data management, and healthcare information systems.
- Continuing education in the latest healthcare industry trends, technologies, and best practices through workshops, seminars, and professional conferences.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with healthcare regulations, compliance, and industry standards such as HIPAA.
- Experience in creating detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for a healthcare organization.
- Proven experience in process improvement, including workflow analysis, process mapping, and reengineering.
- Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, PowerBI), and excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of relaying technical information to business stakeholders and business information to technical teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strong technical skills, including understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and experience with healthcare IT systems.
- Capacity to think strategically and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Deep understanding of healthcare systems, including EHR/EMR systems, healthcare data analytics, and industry-specific software applications.
- Expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and creating comprehensive documentation.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to exercise discretion, demonstrate good judgement, and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Ability to travel locally; maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration.
