Introduction GRADE 23 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Holly Center, Salisbury, MD Main Purpose of Job The main purpose of this position is to provide oversight of MDH-Holly Center's Education Department to include the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of all education and training programs. This position will also be responsible for the development and implementation of Electronic Health Records (EHR) education and training. This position is considered emergency essential. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: A Masters degree in Nursing or a health related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse to include two years as an instructor.

Note: Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing specialty codes in the Nursing Instruction field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The desired candidate should possess the following:
  • Experience assessing, planning, developing, implementing and evaluating training material to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs of the clinical staff
  • Experience in written and oral communication (including presentation skills)
  • Experience as a clinical educator, including staff and leadership development
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1.Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence.

2.Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operators license valid in the State of Maryland.

3.Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete and maintain a current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
