Financial Analyst I - Healthcare

JOB SUMMARY

Hybrid position located in Round Rock/Marble Falls, TX

The Financial Analyst I performs financial analysis for Baylor Scott and White (BSWH) and the entities supported by Financial Analysis. Assists in the collection and analysis of data on new projects or services, capital acquisitions, annual budgeting, and long-range strategic financial planning.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

• Performs analysis of financial and operational data to support management decisions including impact on current operations and projections of future impact.
• Supports input and tracking of capital requests.
• Supports annual Hospital Operations budgeting process.
• Develops and produces monthly Operational/Financial Reports as required/requested.
• Supports Operations in understanding/explaining Actual vs Budget financial reporting
• Analyze trends, patterns, and deviations in labor productivity data, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending strategies for enhancement.
• Help conduct finance training for Hospital Operations personnel.
• Participates in performance/process improvement objectives of BSWH.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

• Strong accounting background
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Familiar with Kaufmann Hall and Lawson financial software preferred
• Healthcare industry experience preferred
