Clinical Director (Group Therapy Practice)

Position reports to: Executive Director

Center for Autism and Developmental Disorders

Therapeutic Group Practice (offering ABA, Speech & OT therapies) with an intensive Year-round Center-Based Developmental Program

Compensation Commensurate upon Experience

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in the field of Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, or Applied Behavior Analysis
  • License or Certification in the field of Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or a BCBA
  • A minimum of 5 years professional experience working with senior level management, administrators or Directors in an autism center or clinical group practice environment.  Prior clinical director experience, preferred.
  • Excellent patient care and communications skills with the ability to multitask while providing exceptional experience for all employees in the Center
  • Exhibit a passion for the special population children and their families
  • Natural leader with the ability to develop thriving team culture and Center performance 
  • Ability to stand, bend, treat, and move throughout the Center and Clinic for the entire assigned shift
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment when making decisions
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Knowledge of Human Resources and strong general knowledge for managing employees
  • Strong and poised communication and interpersonal skills to support clinical staff and patients
  • Demonstrate strong problem solving skills to resolve administrative and business matters
  • Detailed knowledge of policies, clinical best practices, and regulations in the clinical field
  • Detailed knowledge of HIPAA policies and regulations in the medical/clinical field.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practice clinical standards
  • Able to delegate and supervise tasks as required
  • Strong aptitude for using computer hardware and clinical EMR system
  • Knowledge for creating and developing Treatment Plans
  • Knowledge of Non-Profit Organizational Management (preferred by not required)
  • Knowledge of individual therapist ethics and licensing requirements including SLP’s, OT’s, Special Educators, and ABA Therapists (Preferred but not required)
  • General Knowledge of Business Operations

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

General oversight of Center Operations and day-to-day clinic operations may include, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Management of clinical staff and licenses providers
  • Act as high-level point of contact for client families - ensure quality customer service expectations
  • Responsible for day to day team culture aligned with the BGC Charitable Mission
  • Responsible for clinical onboarding of new providers
  • Responsible for cultivating team collaboration across various domains within the Center
  • Oversee and review legal requirements of clinical operations
  • Oversee staff compliance of HIPAA regulations and polices 
  • Oversee and review point of service documentation
  • Develop strong knowledge of payor requirements and clinical practice expectations
  • Oversee and ensure Safety practices and protocols are administered and followed by all staff
  • Oversee clinical Intake and admissions departments, client waitlists, and support fluctuations in processes
  • Oversee new client evaluations and clinical requirements for treatments to be scheduled for the first time
  • Ensure clinic insurance authorizations are obtained in timely manner before scheduling occurs for the first time
  • Oversee staff training and development
  • Facilitate weekly clinical operations meetings
  • Attend weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings
  • Oversee client communications and special requests
  • Oversee staff training & development to ensure high performance
  • Ensure Human Resource policies and practices are followed
  • Collaborate with scheduling area to administer changes and to support weekly quotas
  • Responsible for environmental management that shall include the organization and sanitization of all treatment rooms, storage cabinets, supply cabinets and common areas
  • Responsible for purchasing of clinical supplies
  • Responsible for the safe operation of clinic equipment
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are administered daily
